1. Overview

This policy describes how Gérard Godin (sole proprietor, operating as SeedPress) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with getseedpress.com and the SeedPress WordPress plugin.

We collect as little data as possible. We do not sell your information. We do not run advertising or behavioural tracking on this website.

2. Information We Collect

Purchase information

When you buy a Pro or Agency license, your name, email address, and payment details are collected by our payment processor, LemonSqueezy. We receive your email address and license key details so we can manage your license. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Support emails

If you contact us using the contact form on this site, we receive and store your email address and the contents of your message to respond to your enquiry.

Free plugin download

Downloading the free version does not require an account or email address.

3. How We Use It

We use the information we collect only to:

  • Issue, activate, and manage your license key.
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Send important product updates or notices (no marketing emails without your consent).

4. Third Parties

LemonSqueezy

All purchases are processed by LemonSqueezy, who act as the merchant of record. They collect and process your billing information under their own privacy policy. License validation requests from the plugin are sent to LemonSqueezy's API.

Umami Analytics

We use Umami Cloud for privacy-friendly analytics. Umami does not use cookies or collect personal data. See Umami's privacy policy for details.

Facebook

We have a presence on Facebook. If you visit or interact with our page, Facebook may collect data about you under their own privacy policy. We have no control over that data.

X (Twitter)

We have a presence on X. If you visit or interact with our account, X may collect data about you under their own privacy policy. We have no control over that data.

5. Data in the Plugin

The SeedPress plugin stores data only on your own WordPress installation — specifically:

  • Your license key and activation instance ID (in the WordPress options table).
  • Metadata on generated content items, used to identify and clean them up later.
  • Job logs for the current generation queue.

All of this data lives on your server. We do not have access to it and we do not collect any telemetry from plugin installations.

6. Cookies & Tracking

This website uses Umami Analytics to collect basic, anonymous usage data — page views and referral sources. Umami does not use cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect any personally identifiable information. The data is used solely to understand which pages are most useful.

This website does not use advertising cookies or behavioural tracking. All fonts are self-hosted — no third-party font requests are made. No consent banner is shown because no personally identifiable data is collected.

7. Data Retention

License and purchase records are retained for as long as your license is active and for a reasonable period afterward for accounting purposes. Support emails are kept until they are no longer needed to resolve your issue. You may request deletion at any time (see section 8).

8. Your Rights

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request that we correct inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.

To exercise any of these rights, . We will respond within 30 days.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of SeedPress after a change is posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
